In a world full of challenges, it's crucial to lend a hand where it's needed most. At Team Hoynck, we're committed to making a positive impact, and that's why we've partnered with the German foundation ‘Freundeskreis Kambodscha’ to support communities in Cambodia.
Meet Ed Kooymans, one of our most experienced project managers. With over three decades of experience, Ed's seen the world's diversity firsthand. His recent initiative took us to Cambodia, where we're helping create fresh water sources in areas where water is scarce.
A Story of Hope
Cambodia's beauty hides a harsh reality: many communities lack access to clean water. Families struggle, walking miles just to fetch water for their basic needs. After hearing more about this situation, Ed decided to travel to Cambodia to take a look by himself.
Through Freundeskreis Kambodscha, Team Hoynck initially sponsored the drilling of a well for a local family who now have their own clean water supply. Leveraging his planning and organizing skills in combination with his unwavering dedication, Ed supported the local expert drilling teams in their process. Following this initiative, we have now committed ourselves to support the drilling fresh water sources at a regular base, offering help to communities lacking access to safe water.
Progress and Challenges
We're proud of our contribution, but we know there's more work to be done. Keeping these wells running is a challenge. Without proper maintenance, they could fail, leaving communities back at square one. Team Hoynck is committed to finding long-term solutions and have decided to financially support the maintenance program so that each well will be regularly checked and, if necessary, repaired.
But it's not just about the wells. Freundeskreis Kambodscha faces its own challenges, including leadership succession and technological limitations. We're in it for the long haul, supporting them every step of the way.
How You Can Help
We believe change is a collective effort. That's why we're inviting you to join us in supporting Freundeskreis Kambodscha. Your contributions can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Reach out to Ed Kooymans to learn more about how you can get involved. Whether it's through financial support or spreading the word, every little bit helps.
In Conclusion
Our work in Cambodia isn't just about drilling wells. It's about making a difference in the lives of real people. With your support, we can continue to bring hope and change to communities in need.
Together, we can create a world where clean water isn't a luxury—it's a basic human right.
